Trading has become one of my favorite parts of what we do, and I don't think we talk about it enough.

Honestly? It's a breath of fresh air every time. Someone walks in nervous, not sure what to expect, probably bracing for the experience they've had somewhere else. Whether that’s getting nickeled and dimed, lowballed, or told to wait three months for a consignment payout that may or may not come. And then we just... don't do any of that. We look at what they brought, give them a fair number on the spot, and let them shop. No appointment. No stress. No waiting.

We hear it from customers all the time that they appreciate it. That's not something I take lightly! It takes a lot of trust on our end and a business standpoint to staff someone every single day that is able to spend company money on items. We want to continue being that dependable outlet for these types of things.

For them, it's a new piece without coming out of pocket. As Tyler would say: “girl math” lol. For us, it's inventory we didn't have to source the usual way, and honestly it's just exciting — you never know what's going to walk through the door. We just had someone trade in a few high dollar bags and walk out with multiple Chanels. We're working on getting content from it in a way that people are comfortable with, but that's exactly the kind of transaction that makes this fun.

We want to be that outlet that turns something that was deemed “stressful” in the past into a truly enjoyable experience. That starts with building our customer base more so we can take in a wide array of items and appeal to more people on both the buying side and the selling side. Not to mention, since we own the inventory we are able to have a little more leeway on getting the deal done rather than following a corporate handbook.
