People assume that I must have a CRAZY designer bag collection. Honestly, super fair - I could source almost any bag I want at my ideal price point, and I'm one of the owners of the store - but this could not be further from the truth. I personally own a whopping number of ZERO designer bags. Don't get me wrong, there are many, many bags I'm obsessed with. I don't really have a reason, but I know I eventually will have a collection I love. For now, here are a few bags we currently have that I would buy and why.
I have to start with this bag... I am obsessed. First of all, it looks like a cooler version of the Gucci Jackie. It fits nicely on the shoulder, has plenty of space for an everyday bag, sleek black leather, AND it's Hermes at a more reasonable price. It's subtle - if you know, you know. I'm feeling really tempted by this bag now... maybe this was a bad idea. Anyway - 10/10 must-have.
Moving on to a classic Y2K Fendi shoulder tote. Everyone needs a good vintage tote (and this one zips). I'd throw this on my shoulder with a cute, casual outfit to meet my friends for brunch. What's inside? Phone, wallet, keys, perfume, Summer Fridays lip balm, sunglasses, my white button-down in case I get chilly, and my laptop in case I go by the store. This one is a no-brainer - a Fendi for under $400.
This Chanel is a favorite of mine due to its edgy take on a classic piece. It's the iconic flap, BUT the chain is connected around the bag with beautiful light brown leather giving it a rounded, ruched look. Everyone needs a brown bag, so why not have a cool take on a classic icon? I'd love to style this with my white knit sweater and some light-wash baggy jeans...yes.
Many people steer clear of white/ivory bags, but I love them. I would have to have this in my collection because not only is it a great price, but it isn't a bag you see everyday, it looks similar to the classic Gucci Jackie but with a little personality, and it zips. I'm wearing this to dinner with my friends, preferably Lil' Frankie's, Norma, or even late afternoon drinks at the Wayland.

Everyone needs a Fendi Baguette in their collection, so here's my pick. I love the smooth black leather against the silver hardware (simple, classic, versatile) and the marble within the buckle to give it some personality. She's a night out for a martini (I'm not drinking that because I don't like olives...but it sounds more chic than a night out for a Peroni), she's a first date (that I haven't been going on), she's a karaoke night (we've transitioned from AWOL to KTV)- she's that girl. This bag is also somewhat rare when talking about vintage Fendi Baguettes, with a high resale value that will likely continue to increase.
I could go on, but these are my top 5 collection builders of our current inventory. I would also put these in the realm of great first designer bags to buy. Regardless, I hope someone gets their hands on them soon so I'm not as tempted (specifically the first bag).
Thank you for reading! I sometimes have a lot to say, but sometimes struggle to think of what you all might enjoy reading about. If you have any thoughts, questions, or recommendations, I'd love to hear from you!
I love you all.
